Google has announced Picassa Web Albums which is a flickr like service but it's available by invitation only. as they are testing & improving it. You are offered 250 MB of free storage space which can store around 1000 wallpaper-sized images. It also offers easy upload of images from latest downloadable version of Google Picassa desktop software.
