My Comment: Interesting discussion and good point that power makes you miserable. Working together / being interdependent can take this planet to the next level, and spirituality will play a major role in that, as per my understanding. Power is temporary....you remain a king in playing cards only after sometime. :-) 

Where are Aurangzeb, Sikander, Changez Khan, Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, Alauddin Khilji, Hitler, etc.? They are just in history, and nobody bothers about them anymore, while Buddha, Jesus, etc., are still remembered with deep reverence. 

Putin, Trump, etc., listening? :-)
