Bhagwan Hai Kahan Re Tu
My Comment: Lovely yearning for god! When the thirst is total and surrender is complete, it happens.....you realize that it's within you only. :-)
PK (2014) is a satirical comedy-drama about an innocent alien (Aamir Khan) stranded on Earth after his remote is stolen. While searching, he questions irrational societal norms and religious divisions, earning the nickname "PK" (drunk) for his direct, naive questions. He teams up with journalist Jaggu (Anushka Sharma) to expose fraudulent godmen, eventually recovering his device to return home.
Key Aspects of PK:
Plot & Objectives: The alien lands in Rajasthan and immediately loses his interstellar communicator. His journey to find it in Delhi leads to him understanding human language, clothing, money, and faith.
Critique of Religion: PK approaches various religious figures for help, only to find confusing rituals, leading him to question the "wrong number" (fraudulent) godmen who exploit people's faith, specifically Tapasvi Maharaj.
Human Connections: He befriends Jaggu, an Indian reporter, and helps her reunite with her Pakistani boyfriend, Sarfaraz, whom she was separated from due to misunderstandings fostered by blind faith.
Themes: The film explores themes of questioning dogma, promoting critical thinking, religious unity, and questioning the existence of "different" gods.
